ARRIVAL – NEGOMBO

  • Upon arrival, meet & greet by Travelwind Holiday Sri Lanka representative at Bandaranaike International Airport and proceed to Negombo. Journey takes approx. 20 minutes to reach to the hotel.

  • Check in at the hotel and relax at the poolside and Beach of Negombo.

  • Dinner & Overnight stay at the Hotel Jetwing Blue Hotel, Negombo.

NEGOMBO-DAMBULLA – HABARANA

  • Pick up from the Hotel at 0830Hrs.
  • Proceed to Habarana Driving time approximately 4 Hours with stop for Refreshment stop at Kurunagala then continue to Habarana.
  • You will enjoy the country side of Sri Lanka. En route visit to Dambulla cave Temple on the way to Habarana.
  • Dambulla Cave Temple - Dedicated as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1991, Dambulla Cave Temple (or the Golden Temple of Dambulla) is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka The Dambulla Cave Temple grounds also features a functioning Buddhist Monastery dating back to the third and second centuries B.C.

HABARANA –SIGIRIYA – POLONNARUWA

  • After breakfast proceed to World Heritage site of Sigiriya. The site of the 'Lion Mountain' was visited from the 6th century AD, by passionate admirers In the heart of Ceylon, the extraordinary site of Sigiriya, a lofty rock of reddish gneiss dominating, from a height of some 150 m, the neighbouring plateau, has been inhabited since the 3rd century BC Sigiriya was created by King Kasyapa who reigned between 477-495 AD

  • Proceed to Polonnaruwa - Visit the Heritage site of Polonnaruwa was the second capital of Sri Lanka after the destruction of Anuradhapura in 993. It comprises, besides the Brahmanic monuments built by the Cholas, the monumental ruins of the fabulous garden-city created by Parakramabahu I in the 12th century Today the ancient city of Polonnaruwa remains one of the best planned archaeological relic sites in the country.

HABARANA –KANDY

  • After breakfast depart to Kandy via Dambulla

  • Drive to Kandy, en route visit to Spice Garden and Hindu Temple.

  • Check in at the hotel and then afternoon commence a city tour of Kandy.
    Tour of Kandy city and visit Temple of Tooth relic:
    Kandy became a centre for both Mahayana and Theravada Buddhism, the religion's two major sects. The most important of its many Buddhist temples is the Temple of the Tooth, which enshrines a sacred relic of a tooth of the Buddha.

  • And do some shopping with souvenirs and Gems.

  • Evening Culture Show at Kandyan art Centre

KANDY-NUWARA ELIYA

  • After breakfast you will drop at Kandy Railway station and train depart from Kandy at 0847Hrs. Arrival at NanuOya station at 1235Hrs.
  • Our driver will meet you at the station and transfer to hotel for check in.

  • Afternoon commence a city tour of NuwaraEliya.
    NuwaraEliya is a mountain station at 1,868 m (6,128 ft) of altitude, in a splendid landscape. The city pretends to be particularly well-kept and neat, and the always green grass gives to the locality an aspect of Colonial British style. NuwaraEliya was built entirely during the 19th century and its architecture mimics that of an English country town, with red-brick walls, country house like hill club and mock-Tudor half-timbering.

  • Visit Tea Factory and Tea Plantations.

NUWARA ELIYA – ELLA – YALA NATIONAL PARK

  • After breakfast and depart through winding roads to Yala, the drive will take nearly 4 hrs.
  • Check in at the hotel and have a lunch at the hotel.
  • Afternoon commence a Jeep safari to Yala National Park.Elephants are the most often-spotted inhabitants of the vast Yala National Park in the southeast of Sri Lanka, east of Matara, but they share the reserve with 130 different species of birds and other creatures like sambhur, spotted deer, sloths, crocodiles, monkeys, wild boar and porcupines. There is also a small population of leopards
  • Evening return back to the hotel and Dinner and Overnight at the hotel Laya Safari, Yala.

YALA – UDAWALAWE

  • After breakfast departs to Udawalawe, Journey takes approx. 3Hrs to reach Udawalawe.
  • Check in at the hotel and have some lunch at the hotel.
  • Afternoon commence a Jeep Safari at Udawalawe National Park - Udawalawe National Park – covers an area of 230,821 hectares and was declared in 1972. It is only 115 miles from Colombo via Ratnapura and Pelmadulla. This Park is rich in Elephant population as the Park has about 500 Elephants. Wild Buffalo, Spotted Deer, Barking Deer, Wild Boar, Sambhur, Hare, Mongoose, Crocodile and 30 species of Snakes are recorded. Three Circuit Bungalows are available at Seenuggala, Weheragolla, and Thimbiriyamankada and 2 Camp sites are at Weheramankada and Pransadara.50 species of Butterflies and many species of Birds are found in the Park.
  • Evening return back to the hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel The Grand Udawalawe, Udawalawe.

UDAWALAWE - WADDUWA

  • Breakfast at the hotel and leisurely drive to Wadduwa.
  • Journey takes approx 3 ½ Hrs to reach to the hotel. Check in at the hotel and afternoon relax at the beach & Pool.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel The Centara Ceysands, Wadduwa.
